It's been hot. Hotter than hot. Maybe this record-breaking heat has finally gotten your attention. If you're tired of putting up with heat and humidity every year leading to uncomfortable living and sleeping conditions – then you've found the right place. We know just how to help.
If you don't have ductwork, making central air conditioning an impractical option, then ductless air conditioning is the answer. Mitsubishi ductless mini-split systems are quiet and efficient. They are modern alternatives to window air conditioning units for summertime cooling, and oil heat in our bitter cold winters. But you know that already. Let's get to it, what can you expect to pay...
The cost to have a Mitsubishi ductless system installed in your home will depend on several variables. Depending on the goal that you want to achieve (ultimately how many spaces you want to have zoned comfort in), will largely dictate cost. We're here to give you an estimate that matches your wants and needs. Here are the factors to consider that will dictate cost.
EQUIPMENT
How much equipment you need depends largely on how many zones you intend to control. The more zones you want to control, the higher the cost. One room cost significantly less. An outdoor unit, indoor unit(s), controls and parts including the refrigerant line-set, wiring and electrical accessories are the standard pieces needed.
Generally, new equipment can range in cost from under $3,000 for a one-room cooling option up to $18,000 or more for multiple zone heating and cooling systems. Your costs will vary and may be higher or lower than this estimate. This range is determined by the size of the unit, type of unit, and as mentioned, the number of areas (or zones) being conditioned.
INSTALLATION
This is the cost to install the system (and remove your old system, if necessary). It also depends on the level of difficulty of the system. This is how far the indoor and outdoor units are from each other, the construction of the outer wall to be drilled to carry the line sets, etc.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
Equipment Mounting
Your outdoor unit will need to be secured on a base or pad so that it is level and has proper draining.
Electrical
You may need a new 240V outlet. There will be additional costs if your installation requires a new 240V circuit.
Controller
A standard handheld wireless controller is included with wall-mounted units. But you may also choose a kumo cloud™ APP-based thermostat that give you smartphone control. Program and control via the app.
